You must be at least 13 years old to use NewsShift. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Service Description

NewsShift provides news content in multiple perspectives and styles. We use artificial intelligence to generate customized summaries of news articles from various sources. Each article is linked to its original source. Our service is designed to broaden understanding by presenting diverse viewpoints on current events and to facilitate access to news for everyone.

4. Content and Intellectual Property

4.1 Our Content

The App, including its design, features, and AI-generated summaries, is owned by AI News Lab LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We do not claim ownership of the underlying news content, which belongs to the original publishers.

4.2 Third-Party Content

News content originates from various third-party sources. We create transformative summaries that link back to original sources. If you believe any content infringes your copyright, please contact us at hello@news-shift.com with details of the alleged infringement, and we will investigate promptly.

4.3 License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our services.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks
• • Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
• • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App

6. Research and Data Collection

By using the App, you consent to the collection and analysis of your usage data (such as reading patterns, article interactions, and style preferences) for research purposes. This data will be anonymized and aggregated before being used in academic publications or presentations. No personally identifiable information will be published or shared with third parties.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content, including AI-generated summaries. You should verify important information with original sources.

News content and summaries are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice. We are not responsible for decisions made based on information obtained through the App.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AI NEWS LAB LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

9. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the App.

10. Account Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

11. Third-Party Links

The App contains links to third-party websites and news sources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of these external sites. Your use of third-party websites is at your own risk and subject to their respective terms and policies.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Wyoming, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property rights.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
